VLC for Android has a media library for audio and video files, and allows to browse folders directly.
VLC has support for multi-track audio and subtitles. It supports auto-rotation, aspect-ratio adjustments and gestures to control volume, brightness and seeking.
It also includes a widget for audio control, supports audio headsets control, cover art and a complete audio media library.

WHAT'S NEW
v1.1.4 (14.03.2015)
This is a release adding SPDIF/HDMI audio passthru, 5.1/7.1 audio for compatible devices. It adds support for modtracker audio files (s3m, mod).
It also fixes lots of design issues (including the black theme) and crashes, reported in 1.1.2 and 1.1.3.
Finally, it improves largely the Android TV release of VLC, with better navigation and experimental UPnP browsing (only on TV version, for now, until next update).
